No project lives in a vacuum. Business analytics projects in particular need to be closely aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization. Otherwise, you might find you are measuring and improving the wrong things. When we’re out on client sites, we frequently find:

Often these misalignments occur because the organization is operating in silos, and making decisions that work primarily for their own department or sub-company.  For this reason, we like to step back from the day-to-day minutiae of running the business and make sure everyone understands the big picture goals.
