Joe Measer: Returning Home
My name is Joe Measer and here is my story. I am a 51-year-old man with Cerebral Palsy. I have been an ERP consultant since 1989. Six plus years ago, I joined MCA Connect as a Senior Project Manager. I really enjoyed the firm, my job and my co-workers. However,32 weeks ago, I left MCA Connect to join a client with the hopes of greatly reducing my travel so I could spend my career twilight years in a more predictable week-over-week environment. Well, let’s just say that, last week, I re-joined MCA Connect as the Director of Strategic Projects.
We all know the adage that “you don’t appreciate what you have, until you don’t have it.” I can say with all of my heart that no truer words have been spoken. My intent is not to create a single ounce of bitter feelings towards my recent previous employer. They were nothing but awesome to me and my wife. I will always espouse that their products are the best you can buy. But I just wanted to provide a very heart-felt testament of what a truly world-class organization MCA Connect continues to be.
The numerous “welcome back” emails, huge bear hugs, and ear-to-ear smiles that I received upon my return have been priceless. About 10 minutes into my first face-to-face meeting, I realized that my credibility and professional value remained completely intact with my former/current co-workers and executives. I could say that it felt as if I never left, but that would discount how much I missed the professionalism, honesty, and integrity of the folks that make up MCA.
So, if you are like me and are a career consultant or a recent college graduate investigating the ERP career path or even an industry-professional looking for a change AND you have a desire to be an integral part of an ethical, energetic, dynamic organization that you can call “home,” please look MCA Connect up. You won’t be disappointed!
