Their challenge
Axcelis, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, was in a tough spot. They were ready to take their operations, workflow, and service to the next level with Dynamics 365. But their plans stalled when a previous Dynamics partner failed to deliver results, leaving them back at the starting line.
Fortunately, Axcelis had a (friendly) competitor suggest a way forward. Their competitor, Veeco, is another semiconductor equipment manufacturer that partnered with MCA Connect to tackle similar challenges. Veeco struggled with a lack of visibility into data, field service inefficiencies, and time-consuming manual processes. With a clear roadmap from MCA Connect, Veeco implemented D365 Field Service, Customer Service, and Project Operations, modernizing their operations across 13 countries and positioning themselves for measurable success.

Our solution
MCA Connect replaced Axcelis’s outdated Field Service module with D365 Field Service. Part of the project included conducing an executive alignment session to ensure defined success. Our Data Value Assessment (DVA) identified gaps in data utilization, driving recommendations for third-party applications, analytics dashboards, and long-term manufacturing strategy.
MCA Connect is on track to deliver a seamless D365 Field Service go-live in February 2025, with phase 2 extending functionality to Sales.
