Their challenge

Based in Tampa, Florida, Chadwell Supply is a family-owned maintenance and repair operations (MRO) supply company. Passionate about customer service, the company stocks over 10,000 SKUs and delivers over 99% of orders to customers the next day—the top fill rate in the industry. 

Chadwell grew more than 525% in just three years due to its unwavering commitment to excellent customer service. Now a $1B+ enterprise, Chadwell needs structured systems and processes to grow and scale their business and best serve customers. Their on-premise Dynamics Great Plains software is no longer a good fit, and they aim to shift operations to Dynamics 365.  

Our solution

Familiar with our strategic implementation methodology and Dynamics 365 expertise, Chadwell’s Great Plains partner recommended MCA Connect. We quickly got to work evaluating Chadwell’s system and processes, uncovering challenges and opportunities, and getting to know their business inside and out. We also inquired about the company’s business objectives to learn how we could help Chadwell achieve their goals.  

As part of this comprehensive process, we discovered Chadwell was using a third-party solution to manage warehouse orders. Leaders thought the solution was indispensable, but after thoroughly evaluating use cases and requirements, we discovered Chadwell could accomplish the tasks more efficiently with Power Apps. We built out a proof of concept to demonstrate the value, and Chadwell was impressed by the customized future state.  

Soon after this demonstration, another company approached Chadwell for help with a potential service. Chadwell initially thought they couldn’t commit, but after seeing the capabilities of Microsoft technology, Chadwell committed to the service offering, securing $30 million a year in additional revenue.
