Their challenge

Based in Elkhart, Indiana, Heartland RVs builds luxury recreational vehicles. After using Dynamics AX 2012 R3 for several years, Heartland partnered with another company for a Dynamics 365 upgrade. However, the partner failed to make expected progress, and the project dragged on for over a year. Concerned, Heartland began exploring other options.

Familiar with our experience with similar RV brands like JAYCO, Heartland approached us for help. We met with the project stakeholders several times to discuss our approach and gather information about Heartland’s unique challenges and opportunities and what they hoped to achieve. After learning more about our strategic implementation methodology, manufacturing expertise, and ERP rescue success, Heartland awarded us the project.

Our solution

Our approach to ERP solutions starts with strategic planning, then moves on to process optimization and implementation. We follow up with managed services to ensure ongoing improvements. This proven methodology and deep manufacturing expertise are key factors in our success. 

To date, we have rescued more than 25 ERP projects, including REV Group and Campbell Scientific, which also led to work at Juniper Systems. We’ll use this targeted methodology and rescue expertise to implement Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management in Heartland’s Indiana facility.

Expected results

Implementation kicked off in early August with an expected January 2024 go live. Once live, Heartland RVs will fully realize the expected benefits of their Microsoft investment, including:

• Reduced IT costs and risks with additional flexibility and scalability of the cloud 
• Improved productivity with web-based accessibility 
• Enhanced BI, automation, and communication
