Their challenge
Based in Denmark, Micro Matic is the leading supplier of beverage dispensing solutions in over 140 countries. They engineer beer dispensing solutions from keg to tap and are expanding their focus to include micro cold brew solutions for companies like Dunkin Donuts and 7/11.
Operating on Dynamics AX 2009, Micro Matic faced security risks, siloed data, limited visibility, and inefficient processes. They were also unable to grow and scale their business as needed. Pleased with Microsoft technology, the company opted to upgrade to Dynamics 365 rather than evaluate alternate solutions.
Micro Matic worked with a European partner to create a global solution blueprint for Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. Once work began, Micro Matic US, Micromatic’s most complex and profitable business unit, realized they needed an America-based partner with manufacturing and supply chain expertise to provide best practices for Dynamics 365. Micro Matic US also wanted a local team that could be onsite during regular business hours, learn about their business in person, and provide end-user training and change management support.
Our solution
Micro Matic US evaluated several partners but chose MCA Connect after receiving an enthusiastic referral from an employee who had previously worked with us. Impressed with our deep manufacturing experience and strategic implementation approach, Micro Matic felt we would be the best long-term partner. We’ll use our expertise to implement Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management at two Micro Matic US sites.
Expected results
Our Manufacturing Strategy team is currently analyzing Micro Matic’s needs, and we’ll soon kick off a nine-month deployment. Once Micro Matic US is fully live on Dynamics 365, they will be able to:
- Eliminate data silos, reduce errors and duplication, and enhance collaboration with a modern cloud-based system that connects business functions and processes
- Better scale business to incorporate new product lines and services and keep up with targeted growth and acquisitions
- Adapt to changing customer demands, market conditions, and opportunities with increased flexibility and agility
- Enhance planning, forecasting, and inventory management with customizable features and capabilities
What’s next?
Mico Matic is considering partnering with MCA Connect to implement Dynamics 365 Sales. They may also extend their evaluation and Dynamics 365 F&SCM implementation plan to include a recent acquisition.
