Their challenge

REV Group is a leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles and related aftermarket parts and services. With 18 manufacturing facilities, 29 vehicle brands, and approximately 7,400 employees across the United States, REV produces more than 20,000 vehicles per year.  

REV Group’s Fleetwood RV and Midwest Auto Design brands specialize in recreation vehicles. Their Goldshield brand provides the fiberglass Fleetwood uses to build RVs. Operating on JD Edwards, the brands struggled with time-consuming manual tasks, inefficient processes, and unsupported systems.   

Fleetwood attempted to implement SAP to improve operations, but the project failed. REV Group then selected another partner to modernize the brands’ platforms, but the partner lacked the vertical expertise to support the project adequately. 

Familiar with our automotive and recreational vehicle expertise, Microsoft recommended MCA Connect. Impressed by our business-centric approach, future-state vision, and proven success in the industry, REV Group chose MCA Connect to implement Dynamics 365.

Our solution

MCA Connect migrated REV Group’s Fleetwood and Midwest facilities to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management for a full suite of integrated enterprise capabilities.  

To better support the “last mile” of their business processes, we built applications, automated tasks, and created full visibility with Power BI Premium, Power Apps, and Power Automate.  

Despite initial challenges, including legacy system data quality issues and an expanded Power BI scope, MCA Connect delivered a seamless ERP go-live on April 1, 2024. Project stakeholders praised it as the smoothest implementation they’d ever experienced. 

Results

With the new efficiencies of a standardized business platform, REV Group can now:    

  • Improve decision-making and profitability with full visibility to demand, inventory levels, production plans, procurement, and more in one unified platform. 
  • Increase customer satisfaction with personalized experiences across all channels.   
  • Save time and simply finance processes by eliminating time-consuming manual tasks.  
  • Gain the efficiency of shared services with standardized systems across business units.
  • Pursue automation for the management and approval of sales SPIFF requests.

Over time, REV Group plans to implement Dynamics 365 globally across all 20+ brands with MCA Connect serving as a long-term partner. REV Group’s Goldshield facility is next, along with the implementation of production features for Midwest built off the template implemented at Fleetwood.
