Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, Azure Data & AI
Their challenge
Located in 11 countries across four continents, Hunting Energy Services is a leader in the upstream oil and gas industry. After a series of acquisitions, Hunting had 10+ disjointed ERP systems spread across the globe. As a result, they struggled with:
Inefficient manual tasks and processes
Limited visibility into data and KPIs
No consistency across systems and plants
The status quo at Hunting was unsustainable and they knew they must consolidate their systems to a single global platform. Before we got involved, Hunting was evaluating Dynamics versus Epicor for their global ERP initiative.
Our solution
Familiar with our manufacturing and energy expertise, Microsoft brought us in, and we helped win the deal over Epicor. We also persuaded Hunting to implement Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management in the cloud instead of on-premise as originally planned.
MCA Connect took on a global deployment for 18 business units and eight are now live, six in the U.K. and two in the U.S. The most recent, Hunting Electronics, went live in March. We’re also expanding Hunting’s Azure Data and AI opportunities by enhancing and moving their existing data lake to an Azure-based data lake. Our Modern Platform Management services team provides ongoing support and optimization.
Expected Results
After implementing across all sites, Hunting will be able to:
- Measure and improve performance using high-visibility KPIs with real-time data
- Standardize tasks while eliminating inefficient manual processes
- Achieve organizational agility with system flexibility to adapt to market and customer changes
Microsoft impact:
- Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (475 licenses)
- Dynamics 365 licensing revenue to date: $1.4M
- Microsoft funding programs: BizApps Pre and Post Sales Catalyst Funding + PIE D365 to support move to Cloud
